Ai has become the headline everyone has an opinion on.
Open a newspaper, scroll through LinkedIn, or catch the evening news and you’ll find no shortage of warnings and criticisms. ‘Ai is replacing jobs. It’s spreading misinformation. It’s using copyrighted material without permission. It’s making decisions nobody fully understands’.
It’s no wonder many businesses pause before leaning in.
Should AI be embraced? Feared? Regulated? Ignored?
The truth is far less dramatic than the headlines suggest.
There are important questions to ask about how Ai is developed and deployed. Privacy, security, transparency, and accountability all matter. But somewhere along the way, the conversation has drifted from reality: Ai is already solving real business problems, quietly and consistently, every single day.
Most organisations aren’t using Ai to replace people. They’re using it to remove repetitive tasks, surface insights faster, and give teams more time to focus on work that genuinely benefits customers. Ai also fills a gap – extending customer service beyond the traditional 09:00–17:00 window and making support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
And that last part is where the conversation gets interesting.
