August was a month that’s been ‘umbrella’s all round’ be it as a sunshield from the lovely summer sunshine or for its more usual use as we have seen some rain storms of quite epic proportions.
Our August was totally predictable. As usual, given that the schools were on summer recess, for us this month has been virtually all about schools, schools and you guessed it, schools.
Primary academies through to technical colleges up and down the UK have kept our engineering team extremely busy. Just in time for the start of the new term, we are putting the final touches to a large deployment at a schools Foundation in the East Midlands which has included replacing not one, but two ageing phone systems. What is more, given the new focus on public safety in schools, we have also seen the addition of nearly 300 of the new Avaya J139s handsets (read more about the J139 here). One in every classroom!
Not to be outdone, we have also had some new customers join us from outside of the education sector, including a well-known international charity. Who said August was a quiet month?
August also saw the completion of a large telecoms consulting engagement as we supported the technology move of a UK corporate division across to US ownership.
Finally, August saw a landmark for us in that we completed our first and as such inaugural customer training workshop for engineers. What is more, it was targeted at a specific vertical sector. We bet you can’t guess which one?
